Summer fun is right around the corner and the arrival of some beloved festivals is ushering the warmest season in a little early this year. The Holy Redeemer Festival kicks off today and goes through Sunday with plenty of opportunities to share in all the fun. The big attraction this year, as every year, is the music and there are some great performers lined up for Friday and Saturday nights. Friday night will bring Michigan country act Wildfire to the stage and Saturday it will be time for Toppermost to play the classics of The Beatles. Music isn’t the only thing in store at the festival though as the midway is bound to be crowded with people looking for an adrenaline rush on one of the many thrill rides. Admission for the adults and little ones is free and for everyone in between – 11-20 years old – you just need to purchase a ride bracelet to wander the grounds.
If all of that wasn’t enough to keep you and your family busy there’s a beer tent, a used book sale, a casino and card tournaments, kids games, and more, more, more. If you cannot find something fun to do at the Holy Redeemer Festival then my friend you doing something wrong.
Festival season is upon us friends, and it’s time to start planning for all the fun that is in store for you and the family. The weather hasn’t been very accommodating for much this year but I have a feeling that we’re finally out of the woods and it’s just in time!
