Stop By Courtland Center And Say Hello To Michigan’s ‘Lone Wolverine’

wolverinecoat_categoryFor a state known as the ‘Wolverine State’ you’d be hard pressed to find any wolverines left in Michigan but starting on January 4 though you will be able to take a look at the last known wolverine to live here at Burton’s Courtland Center Mall.  With the help of a LOT of people and a lot of local and regional agencies the ‘Lone Wolverine’ will be making its way to our area for a two week stay.  Things will kick off on January 4 with a ribbon cutting at noon and then afterwards you can view the wolverine from 10AM – 8PM every day but Sunday, which will close the viewing at 5PM.  To broaden the experience there will be information on the life of the wolverine and background information as well as art and fun educational activities.

With the weather so cold lately this is a perfect opportunity for those of us who are not big winter folks to find out some interesting history about our mitten state and to do it within the warm confines of the Courtland Mall.
