Flint’s Summer Love Affair With Cars Begins This Weekend

ImageThis weekend the Sloan Museum Auto Fair returns for another weekend of classic cars, classic music, and enough memories to fill a Summer.  This two-day car show will be on the grounds of the Flint Cultural Center Campus near Downtown and there will be over 700 classic vehicles on display.  In the middle of everything there will be entertainment, a swap meet, craft vendors, and food for the whole family.  This year they’ve added lowriders to the fun so you’ll definitely see some cars you won’t have seen before, no matter how many of these shows you hit during the year.  If you make it out to the Auto Fair you’ll be able to go through the Sloan Museum and the Buick Gallery free of charge and you can take a look at some of the cars that made automotive history through the past several decades as well as seeing some of our area’s living history.  Things kick off on Friday at The Hot Dog Stand with a car cruise from 5 – 8PM and the show runs Saturday and Sunday all day. Admission is $5. The show is a love letter to the automobile and Flint’s place in auto history and kicks off what should be an amazing summer of classic cars and cruising. Nothing really says summer like classic cars. Can’t wait!
