Now here’s a way to wet your whistle: Six Flint-area bars have teamed up to host the second annual Bricks `n Brews pub crawl on Friday, August 7.
Each bar will highlight a different Michigan-based brewery for the evening, providing stamps to bar crawl participants who purchase any size craft beer. Participants who fill all six slots on their stamp cards may return them to the tent located outside 501 Bar & Grill in return for a free commemorative pint glass.
The lineup is as follows:
501 Bar and Grill (Founders Brewing Co.)
Blackstone’s (Perrin Brewing Co.)
Churchill’s Food and Spirits (Bell’s Brewery)
Soggy Bottom Bar (Blake’s Hard Cider)
Table and Tap (Shorts Brewing Co.)
The Torch Bar & Grill (51 North Brewery)
Pub crawl participants are encouraged to drink responsibly. Shuttle service will be provided to and from Soggy Bottom Bar.

Performances are 7 p.m. Thursday, 6 p.m. Friday, 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday at the University of Michigan-Flint Theatre, 303 E. Kearsley St., Flint. Learn more here.
Young People’s Ballet will also host a “Belle’s Enchanted Tea Party” from noon-1:30 p.m. Sunday at Blackstone’s restaurant in downtown Flint. The party will feature tea sandwiches and refreshments, photo opportunities with the characters, premium seating to Sunday’s show and a special gift from Belle. Reserve your spot here.
Blackstone’s in downtown Flint is a great place to have lunch or dinner in the summer, especially on a day like today. Check out their menu, here. Blackstone’s, beautifully-decorated Irish Irish pub and grill, was opened just more than two years ago. (Photo by Jared Field)
