Now in its 14th year, the Bastille Day race raises about $10,000 to $15,000 annually in support of Genesee County’s Habitat for Humanity. The 5K race winds through the neighborhoods surrounding downtown Fenton, and the 15K run is challenging and hilly, according to event officials.
Running in conjunction with the race will be the 5th Annual Fenton ArtWalk, which will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. along Leroy Street in downtown Fenton.
As part of the free community event, local and regional artists will display their work inside participating businesses and at local organizations. New this year, the Fenton Community and Cultural Center, or FCCC, will host a fine art exhibit displaying each artist’s work.
Visitors can participate in the “Peoples Choice” voting for contests including:
- Downtown Merchant Window Decor
- Artzy Hat Prize Competition at FCCC
- Fine Art Exhibit at FCCC
- Billmeier Camera Photo Contest at FCCC
