Foodie Fave Friday: Capitol Coney Serves Up Innovative Diner Food 24/7

CapitolConeyIsland

It’s never too early – or too late – to ask for a menu at Capitol Coney, which serves up breakfast, lunch and dinner 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Located at the southeast corner of Van Slyke and West Bristol, Capitol offers traditional diner food with a twist. Take, for instance, the breakfast menu. In addition to the basics— omelets, pancakes, and biscuits and gravy – the kitchen also prepares breakfast nachos (waffle fries topped with scrambled eggs, bacon and other goodies) and French toast sticks covered in Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal.

The same goes for lunch and dinner options. There’s the standard fare, including chili, gyros and burgers. But there’s also mozzarella sticks, which are coated in a Doritos Cool Ranch breading before being deep fried, and the Cali dog, a bacon-wrapped Koegel’s Vienna topped with grilled peppers and onions.

For more information about Capitol Coney, at 4021 Van Slyke Road, call (810) 238-5961 or click here.
