Have you ever wanted to travel the Crim route but weren’t up for running the race itself? This Saturday, May 11th you’ll get a chance to take your bike out on the streets and you can follow the blue line all through the city. This is the first year of the HealthPlus Tour De Crim and there is reason for the growing excitement. Unlike other similar events this is a casual ride and is non-competitive so that participants can focus on just getting out and getting some exercise while having fun. Adding a little more adventure to the tour will be several challenges and obstacles that bicyclists will have to overcome along the way. The obstacles will be set up at locations like Atwood Stadium and several parks on the route and will include doing the limbo, going down inflatable slides, and much, much more.
The HeathlPlus Tour De Crim has more to offer though than just the bike ride and challenges. There will be live entertainment from all ages club Flint Local 432 and there will be micro-brews available from Table & Tap. The tour isn’t just for adults though and there is a bike rodeo for the kids as well as other activities so this is a wonderful chance for families to get out and enjoy the Spring weather together and get some exercise with the ones they love. Riders must register to participate and you can do so on the Crim website and registration will get you a t-shirt, medal, and a beverage as well as 10% off participating restaurants and there will be bikes and helmets to rent if you don’t have wheels but want to take part.
For more information about the Tour De Crim head to the Crim website where you will find out how to register and what will be in store for you if you join the fun. https://seeandbseen.org/tag/davison/
