6th Annual Bikes on the Bricks September 15 and 16

Bikes on the BricksThe 6th Annual Bikes on the Bricks, presented by Vehicle City Harley Davidson, will be held on September 15 and 16, 2012, in downtown Flint.  This exciting and unique motorcycle event includes the only certified Police competition in Michigan.

Over the last five years, this event has grown and now includes vendors, Police skills competition, a fashion show, police escorted ride, tattoo contest,  motorcycle show and much more. Money raised from the police escorted ride goes toward local charities within the community, such as the Old Newsboys.

The event brings together police officers from Canada, Ohio, Illinois and Michigan. These officers perform in a certified skills competition. On Friday, September 14 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the public can watch Police officers practice, register for the motorcycle ride and get this year’s merchandise.  Riders may also pre-register anytime through Saturday, September 15 at Forest Cycle Works, Top End Cycle, Vehicle City Harley Davidson or Scooters Bar and Grill.  Pre-Registration is $10 per rider and $5 per passenger.  Day of ride registration is $10 per rider or passenger.

On Saturday, September 15, the Police escorted ride will leave from Vehicle City Harley Davidson, off I-75 and Miller Road on Austin Parkway in Flint.  Registration will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and the ride leaves at 11 a.m.  The ride should arrive downtown around 1 p.m.  Attendees can stay and shop at the various vendors, enjoy entertainment, watch the officers practice on the courses and/or enter into the tattoo contests with Almighty Tattoo.

In addition, the main street in downtown Flint will be closed off on Sunday, September 16 for a FREE motorcycle show. The winner of the show will be the featured motorcycle for 2013′s advertisements, as well as featured at all of Bikes on the Bricks promotions. The tattoo contests with Almighty Tattoo will also continue on Sunday and the Fashion Show will be hosted on Saginaw Street at 12:30 p.m.

The event is open to all motorcycle enthusiasts, whether you have a motorcycle to ride or not, anyone is welcome to attend!

  1. Flint’s best original band will be playing Redwood Steakouse on Sat. 15 th. Close proximity to US23 and tourist hotels. Don’t forget the craft brew ate Redwood’s own in house brewery!
