What we all recognize as the best airport in Michigan is going to get even better. Thanks to a $3-million federal grant, Bishop Airport will continue to expand its operations. Bishop is currently undergoing a major expansion that will increase service for travelers across the country.
The Federal Aviation Administration grant is one in a series of grants the airport has landed in recent years.
All told, Bishop has received $12 million since 2009 for renovation and expansion of the terminal building and for runway improvements.
